Studio Astrid Stavro

Posted by Rob | Posted in General Studio Astrid Stavro

Astrid Stavro is a multi-disciplined graphic designer with clients that include the Royal College of Art, the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art and publishing giant Phaidon.

The clean and considered execution of Astrid’s work is attributed to her conceptual approach and her flair for editorial design and typography. Her popular ‘The Art of the Grid’ notepads, which she produced collaboratively with Birgit Pfistererin, have received much attention and acclaim.

Astrid can be described as a multi-national creative force; she has an active role in the organisation of design events, has acted as jury at several design awards and writes design articles and reviews for the magazines Grafik, Visual and Étapes. She also lectures internationally and is a visiting tutor(editorial design) at IDEP– a private institution in Barcelona that offers university studies, masters and postgraduate course in areas of great social impact such as graphic design, photography and fashion.

She is currently the creative director of the eponymous design and communication consultancy, Studio Astrid Stavro based in Barcelona. The studio works across a variety of media including print, exhibition design, company identities and merchandising, specialising particularly in editorial and book design.

Quadradao

Brazilian agency Quadradao (which roughly translates as ‘boxy’) have recently relaunched their site with lots of lovely new projects.
