The World Cup in South Africa is over but there’s another reason to build the football hype. The World Cup 2018/2022 bids were announced in February from several hopeful countries. We’ve had a look over the ones we can find and have noticed a typographic battle between England and USA.

The World Cup is just about to kick-off (excuse overused pun) and this seems extremely appropriate… Whilst working on a new project for the NHS, we came across this fantastic resource. The site is dedicated to showcasing football shirt numbers and typefaces through the ages. There’s a vast gallery all collected and created by an extremely helpful guy, Azmie.
